Appointments

We offer book on the day appointments every day at both sites. We advise you to ring at 8.00am for Shiregreen Medical Centre and Melrose Surgery, on the day you would like to be seen – please note these are limited availability and you may be asked to call back the following day.
We also offer routine appointments to book in advance at both sites for the doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants.

Alternatively, we have now gone live with our new online consultation service-Patient Triage. This is a great way for you to contact our practice for non-urgent medical or admin requests. It is very simple to fill out so please do give it a go if you need to contact us. Although the character count is limited on the form, please try to give as much specific and concise information as possible. We really think it is easier for most people than waiting on hold to speak to a receptionist. If you do not have access to the internet or find it difficult to use a computer or smartphone you can call reception instead. Please click here for AccuRX…

Please note you can no longer book an appointment at the reception desk before 8.30am. Our phone lines continue to be open from 8.00am. Therefore we would encourage you to book appointments via the telephone, or you can register for online services – ask reception for details.

We do not run a walk-in service, and all patients must book a telephone or face-to face appointment either on the day on the day, or routinely if they wish to be seen here. Patients have the right to choose which doctor or nurse they want to see, and you do not have to see the doctor that you are registered with. Please be aware that if you do want to see someone particular, the wait for this appointment may be longer.

Most appointments are allocated 10 minutes, please ask in advance if you need to book a longer appointment.

The times of our doctor, nurse and healthcare assistant appointments can be found on our opening times page.

There are also other options open to you to access the clinical care that you need:

You can also access advice from your local Pharmacist for advice with minor ailments.
